This page describe some information about RuneScape's server[1].
Branches[edit]
Before 2012 and the implentation of source control, Jagex worked out of 3 folders: WIP (work in progress), RC (release candidate) and LIVE. Developers recorded the files they edited in WIP, and an Upload Manager copied them into RC manually using best judgement as needed. After testing, RC became LIVE[2].
