A music map is a term used by the RuneScape community when they talk about a dataset that shows which music tracks are bound to which mapsquares[1].
Mapsquares without music[edit]
It is possible for a mapsquare to not have an assigned music track. An example of this is mapsquare 53,49 (One Piercing Note abbey). When the player is not in either the Valério's Song or the Abbey music overlays (i.e at 3414 3163 0), the music will simply stop[2]
